Hannah Young, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CO
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I’ve spent the last decade helping young people navigate some of the toughest parts of growing up. Starting therapy can feel intimidating—and just the fact that you’re here means you’re doing the hardest part: taking the first step. I hope to make this process feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more human. Therapy doesn’t have to be clinical or stiff—I aim to create a space where you feel truly understood and supported. I also work with a certified therapy dog named Fletcher, who’s fun-loving, and goofy, and helps make the work feel more comfortable and approachable from the start. My approach I believe therapy is most effective when there’s trust, connection, and a sense of safety. My approach is collaborative and holistic—I consider the whole person and the systems they’re part of. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Family Systems work, and Trauma-Informed Care. I try to help clients tune into their nervous system and somatic responses to better understand how stress and trauma show up in their bodies. Above all, I want to meet you where you’re at. Sometimes that means exploring deeper patterns or building new skills, and sometimes it just means showing up and processing whatever is on your mind that day. Both are valid—and both are part of the work. My focus I primarily work with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, identity development, school-related challenges, and family dynamics. I have experience supporting clients with IEP/504 processes and other educational barriers, and I enjoy collaborating with families and school teams to help create supportive environments. That said, I’m here to focus on the things that feel most important to you.
