Hi there, I'm Henry Joseph!
Have you ever felt that you had nobody to talk to? Someone who will sit with you and lend a listening ear without any judgment? In my practice, I strive to provide a calm, safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space that allows you to share your thoughts, feelings, and concerns freely. I want to help my clients process and manage their feelings of stress, anxiety, depression, or whatever they may be going through in life.
I have a background in mindfulness meditation and other mindfulness-based relaxation techniques. I emphasize my clients’ strengths and tap into these strengths to improve their overall quality of life. I also appreciate the value of establishing and building a therapeutic relationship with my clients to help them better reach their treatment goals.
I enjoy working with individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression. I also support those facing relationship, family, and job stress, along with the challenges of life transitions and decisions.
My communication style during therapy is empathetic, calm, and friendly. I want to ensure my clients feel comfortable and safe, and I work to maintain a very "down to earth" approach.
I began my journey volunteering at hospitals and working at a cancer clinic, where I was involved in cancer support groups and mindfulness meditation groups. This experience sparked my interest and drew me to the field of Social Work, with the goal of helping others through whatever struggles they face. After graduating from college with my Psychology degree, I volunteered for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, providing counseling to military personnel and their families. I then pursued my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Southern California, where I gained experience working with underprivileged youth as a support counselor and with hospital patients as a case manager.
