Hope Czbas, LPCC

Psychotherapist
CA
Hey Y?all! My name is Hope Czbas, and I?m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Master?s in Multicultural Counseling and Social Justice from San Diego State University. My approach to therapy is initially client-centered; I believe it?s important to first meet a client where they are with compassion and understanding. I have a wide array of training within the mental health field but the most experience supporting those healing through trauma, identity issues, and emotional distress & regulation skills. With every approach to therapy, I strive to make it as individualized as possible to the person I?m working with. I operate through a multicultural and social justice-based lens, applying an intersectional approach to my theoretical frameworks. I feel it?s important to recognize how the binary of race, sexuality, gender, religion, culture, socioeconomic status, spirituality, citizenship, and education all play a role. My experience and professional training include CPT, ERP, DBT, CBT, Postpartum Depression/Perinatal Health, Multicultural Counseling, Crisis Intervention, Harm Reduction, and Suicide Prevention. I work with clients from various cultures and age groups, including young adolescents, middle-aged adults, and seniors. I have experience supporting BIPOC communities, cis-gendered and non-binary folx, as well as people in crisis. Typically, I work with those experiencing a range of co-occurring disorders. I?ve supported people in their healing process with Depression & Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar, Adjustment Disorders, and phase-of-life issues, to name a few. I believe finding the right therapist is like buying a pair of shoes; sometimes we have to keep trying them on until we find the right fit! I know finding the right clinician can be both difficult and vulnerable, and I keep that in mind during my initial sessions with clients. I believe in approaching clients with direct and transparent communication.
