Getting to know Jacquie Simpson
Hi there, I'm Jacquie.
If you need help getting past stuck points, patterns of unwanted behavior, or just don't know where to start, I'm here to help. I have a great deal of empathy and take great care in working with clients. I specialize in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, or who are dealing with significant trauma history. I not only help my clients cope with their problems but work at healing the root of the issue. I bring presence, patience, perspective, persistence, and a bit of playfulness into the therapy room.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support my clients effectively.
I also strive to be culturally affirming, uphold the dignity and worth of every person, and work toward social justice in the way I interact with the world and in my practice.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Starting therapy can be tough and scary. But most clients I work with walk away feeling more at ease after a session. I am gentle but will encourage and challenge you in areas that can help you grow. I work to ensure that you walk away more confident, more aware of your inner landscape, and a stronger sense of self.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
