Jamie Rempis, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Fontana, CA. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in Malibu in 2020. I work with various age groups to help them find healing, manage their symptoms, and achieve their treatment goals- and I am so honored to be part of that process with my clients. My approach My approach to therapy always involves working *with* my clients. I firmly believe my clients are the experts of their lives and encourage feedback from my clients to strengthen our therapeutic relationship. Together, we can do great work on the treatment plan we create. I most frequently use modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, and positive psychology, though I am mindful of tailoring therapy to suit the client’s individual needs best. My focus I typically work with teens, adults, and couples in a telehealth environment. I have found that my style and approach may be a good fit for those who may be struggling with depression, suicidality, self-esteem, grief, and relationship building. My communication style My communication style is open, nurturing, and compassionate. It’s vital to me that you are receiving the support you need from your therapist and I appreciate all feedback from my clients. I also like to collaborate with you about homework and/or skills to practice outside of our sessions. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist after losing my father to suicide in 2011. It was a moment that changed my life forever. Growing up as a first-generation Asian American in the US, I had a very skewed understanding of mental health and healthy communication. After his passing, I dedicated my career to one where I could help others in the hopes that they find healing, and strength, and know that they are not alone.
