Janelle Pignotti, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, I'm Janelle. I'm a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) experienced in working with transgender youth and survivors of human trafficking, which is my true passion. I am dedicated to helping youth and adults discover a life worth living. In 2013, I began my journey into mental health as a direct care staff member working with teens facing impulsivity, trauma, aggression, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal/homicidal ideation, depression, and anxiety. Currently, I work with incarcerated individuals. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master of Social Work. I became an LCSW in Florida in 2018 and then in California in 2021. Now, for the most important part: I am vegan, a plant mom (when I don't accidentally kill them…), a lover of tattoos, a proud member of the LGBTQIA community, and mom to two of the sweetest little four-legged babes. And yes, my dogs may make an appearance during sessions to check in on you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session is all about understanding your goals you'd like to achieve and how I can help you get there. It's also about seeing if we vibe and figuring out if I'm the right therapist for you. Sessions will be a collaborative process to improve skills, reach goals, or even just share a listening, non-judgmental ear (unless you need me to be when spilling the tea, I got you).

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
