Hello, my name is Jasmin Rodriguez, LCSW. I earned my Master's in Clinical Social Work from Loma Linda University. I have been providing therapy to children ages 5 to 18 for about 3.5 years. I have experience working with children in the foster care system, trauma, depression, and anxiety. My approach I enjoy utilizing CBT and exploring how our thoughts impact what we feel, helping find ways to challenge those thoughts. I also use a modality to help individuals process trauma and enjoy working on different coping skills. My focus Throughout my experience, I have worked with children between 5 and 18, with the most experience working with 9 to 16-year-olds. I am open to any conditions but have worked most with depression, anxiety, and trauma. My communication style I like to discuss communication during the first session and allow space for clients to communicate as much as they need. I feel that working with me is enjoyable because clients feel in charge of their session. My journey to therapy I always knew I wanted to be in the helping profession and provide direct services. I felt a passion for therapy and mental health the moment I began internships, and I see myself doing this as my career. My goals for you I like to first build rapport with clients and let that guide us in treatment planning. I usually have clients share their desired goals, and we see how they align with my clinical observations. My first session with you During the first session, clients should expect me to review intake paperwork and limits of confidentiality. Additionally, I use the first session to build rapport and get to know my client better.
