Life can be challenging, but getting help doesn't have to be. I am here to listen, provide support, and at times, perspective. I specialize in working with individuals during life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship and men's issues. I am client-centered and tailor each session to your unique goals and needs. I am here to help when you're ready to reach out. My approach I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I also believe in honesty within ourselves, communication, and a strong therapeutic alliance. I use various techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment, psychodynamic, and dialectical behavioral therapy. My goal is to help identify and stop unwanted thoughts or feelings, manage stress, and develop strategies together to help you move forward with confidence. My focus Have you been struggling with motivation? Stress? Unwanted thoughts? Maybe a life transition or a difficult relationship? I work with young and middle-aged adults seeking to be in the driver seat of their lives and not feel trapped by life's struggles. I'll work with you to create awareness, overcome obstacles, and feel empowered. My communication style Clear and open communication is important to me and the therapeutic process. I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard. I practice active listening and will ensure you have opportunities to reflect on what is discussed. If we're working on something challenging, you can expect me to be calm, patient, and, if appropriate, offer alternative perspectives to help relieve some feelings of guilt or stress. My journey to mental healthcare I have always had a desire to help and feel like I am making an impact in this world. I also have always had a deep connection to understand people and value getting to know them. In graduate school, I had the opportunity to work with at-risk youth in the inner city.
