Life is filled with ups and downs, which can seem overwhelming at times for many of us. Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, going through a stressful transition in life, or getting stuck in negative thoughts or beliefs, I am here to help you get unstuck. My approach I believe that therapy should be tailored to accommodate your needs. My main treatment modality is a structured Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program where the activities you do between therapy sessions will determine the outcome of attaining your goals. I believe the best treatment experience is having my clients learn how to help themselves by developing various coping skills to become more resilient and empowered to overcome life's difficulties. My focus I am honored to see individuals struggling with stressful life transitions, and I specialize in treating addiction, alcohol use problems, anger management skills, panic and anxiety reduction, behavioral issues by practicing new coping skills, depression, adjustment to divorce, emotional disturbance, job stress, legal difficulties, life coaching, men's issues, relapse prevention, improving self-esteem, substance use challenges, trauma, and PTSD. My communication style I communicate in a direct but supportive manner, fostering an environment where you feel heard. Through active listening and structured feedback, we'll work as a team to identify challenges and set clear, achievable goals. Expect me to be understanding yet focused on guiding you to develop resilience and coping skills to overcome difficulties. My journey to mental healthcare I am a combat-retired veteran who has worked in the military behavioral health community for over 30 years, and I am well versed in treating combat-related trauma and substance use issues. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, specializing in Professional Clinical Counseling.
