Manatee provides mental health care for children and their families. We support and involve caregivers in treatment, so that you see progress faster. The focus of our virtual therapy and counseling is to deepen family connection, build healthy coping skills and family resilience to drive long term, sustainable change. I am based in Denver, Colorado. I enjoy supporting children of all ages. I have experience working in schools (from ECE to High School). I specialize in helping children with anxiety, depression, and a variety of challenging behaviors to learn about and manage their emotional states. Style Empowering, Compassionate, Present. Why did you become a therapist for kids and families? In my years as an Educator, I was drawn to the phrase, "Maslow before Blooms." That children need to have their social and emotional needs met before they can learn and that is how I started my counseling journey. I found that validating a child's emotional state helped them to feel seen and heard so they could experience resilience and grow from life's obstacles...there will always be obstacles.
