I specialize in using a combination of Art Therapy and other evidence-based therapy approaches to aid individuals in expressing their emotions with more than just words, practice reframing negative thought patterns, and build self-compassion. My approach I use a combination of Art Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices to aid my clients in meeting their goals. During sessions, we will do a brief check-in in then engage in an intervention related to your treatment goals (for example, creating an art piece that reflects your strengths), and we will end our session by identifying what you would like to practice outside of therapy to continue the work. My focus I am passionate about aiding individuals who are struggling with stress and anxiety. I understand that often in life, we can experience being overwhelmed by responsibilities and changes. I believe that learning mindfulness techniques and utilizing art making can help individuals find balance in their life, conquer anxiety, and reduce unhealthy stress. My communication style Often, I have been told that I have "good energy" and a calming presence. I strongly believe in providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for my clients to express themselves. I understand that therapy can feel very vulnerable, and I believe in meeting my clients where they are on their healing journey. I actively listen to my clients, reflect on what I have heard to ensure that I have heard them correctly, and offer gentle guidance.
