Getting to know Joshua Merrill
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping others, and I have worked in the field of mental health for 5 years. In therapy, I use techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, humanistic approaches, and other strength-based methods.
My passion for helping others began while working as a personal trainer and majoring in kinesiology. Later, I discovered sports psychology, which sparked my interest and led me to switch my major to psychology. I completed my bachelor’s degree while serving in the United States Army as a medic, where I continued to support others. After my service, I pursued further education and earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Global. Since then, I have been dedicated to helping people navigate mental health challenges and life circumstances.
I look forward to hearing your story and supporting you on your life’s journey as you overcome obstacles and work toward your individualized goals.
