Judith Serrano, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Judith! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) with experience supporting individuals of all ages, couples, and families. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. My approach is integrative, combining evidence-based techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to help clients gain clarity, build resilience, and achieve meaningful change. I specialize in working with individuals facing moderate to severe mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders, as well as supporting first responders and members of the LGBTQ+ community. My approach I draw from several evidence-based modalities, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s specific needs and goals. The most common approaches I use are CBT, trauma-informed care, DBT, mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies (ACT), person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing. I believe in collaboration, working closely with clients to identify goals and find effective methods to support their growth. My aim is not only to address immediate challenges but also to equip clients with tools and strategies they can carry forward into everyday life. My focus I typically work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults facing moderate to severe mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders such as bipolar disorder. I am comfortable supporting individuals dealing with high emotional distress, relationship difficulties, and those navigating past trauma. In addition to individuals with moderate to severe concerns, I have experience supporting first responders and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
