Life may feel out of control for you right now. You may be using unhealthy coping skills?like drinking too much or overeating?and perhaps you are beating yourself up about it. You have no time or space to figure out how to do things differently and don't feel good about how your relationships are going. The pandemic has really highlighted areas in your life that need change, but you feel stuck. Perhaps you are moving from crisis to crisis, the same cycle repeating itself, and you don't know why. Maybe the ghosts of your past keep sabotaging your present. But there is help and a way out?you can do it! I am here to support your growth so you can clear your mind and come to the choices that are right for you. If you have trauma, addiction, hyper- or hypo-arousal, I can help through a combination of somatic psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I will also support you through treatment for more severe mental health concerns if needed. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach. The first step is to reach out for help?it takes real courage to do that. The second is to prioritize your own growth process no matter what else is going on in your life. None of us can do this alone, and choosing the right person to be by your side is critical. I hope I may get the chance to earn your trust and become that person.

What should a new client know about working with you?

For those having complex co-occurring conditions I will do a complete assessment in the first session and can make recommendations after that. I will use evidence based screening tools to develop working hypotheses for any diagnosis. For therapy, the priority will be on clarifying your goals and building trust. Then a combination of CBT and somatic therapy will be used to drop deeper into processing past issues/trauma/emotions -often hidden from our conscious minds - that drive our current behaviors.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
