Juliana Hamon, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with a Master's in Counseling from Chapman University and over 15 years of hands-on mental health case management and clinical experience. I work with adolescents, young adults, family units, and parents struggling with mental illness, substance abuse recovery, self-harm, suicidality, parenting, unresolved trauma, and other behavioral and emotional issues affecting all areas of their lives. My approach I work from an individualistic, holistic perspective, being sensitive and aware of cultural and spiritual aspects of life that uniquely impact each person's daily functioning. My areas of training include crisis intervention, trauma, CBT/DBT skills, Somatic Experiencing, Family Systems, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Brainspotting. I utilize an eclectic approach, drawing from humanistic, existential, integrative, solution-focused, and family systems modalities. I meet each individual exactly where they are. My focus I help families whose children (ages 12-20) face challenges related to substance abuse and addiction. I work with the family as a whole to identify and address barriers, trauma, and other triggers-focusing my energy on both the child and the family unit. Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted a career that would make a difference in people's lives. Along my journey, I explored many areas of mental health, from crisis intervention to inpatient facilities and even incarceration. But where I felt most at home was helping young adults struggling with substance abuse and addiction. My communication style As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and a mother of four, located on the Garden Island of Hawaii, I bring Aloha and perspective to every online session. I am committed to the well-being of all my patients and go above and beyond to meet their needs, helping young adults cope with addiction while providing a supportive framework.
