The journey to becoming pregnant and adjusting to parenthood is unlike any other. Many feel alone and helpless as they begin this phase and worry about its impact on their relationship. I help couples navigate the unique challenges during the transition to parenthood and identify realistic solutions to problems that feel unsolvable. I use a collaborative, warm approach with a touch of humor, tailoring sessions to your unique needs. If you feel overwhelmed managing your relationship, your new role as a parent, and figuring out who you are now, you are not alone. If you are ready to take the step toward confidence and joy in this phase, I welcome you to reach out. I earned my PsyD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, which informs my compassionate and evidence-based approach. My approach I use emotionally focused therapy (EFT) to help you and your partner understand the underlying reasons behind recurring arguments. This approach encourages curiosity to explore how past experiences shape who you are today and why you react as you do. By increasing your understanding of how you process emotions and information, you gain the ability to create meaningful change in your roles as partner, parent, and person. Together, we will identify where you feel stuck and develop strategies to help you accomplish your goals. My focus Are you looking to start a family but worried about how it will affect your relationship? Maybe you miss the connection you had with your partner before kids. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed and wonder if it will ever get easier. I work with women, men, and couples who feel overwhelmed and dissatisfied on their parenthood journey. Whether deciding to start a family, pregnant, or navigating the changing role of a parent, I’ll work with you to create a plan for feeling more confident and satisfied along the way.
