Kara Vesely, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one. Together, we will work on the issues that may be holding you back from living a more fulfilling life. I use a compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach in which I seek to understand you and your life experiences. My graduate school training in art therapy confirmed my belief in the healing power of creativity. Additionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University, which has further shaped my approach to therapy. The current specialties I treat are: Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Trauma/PTSD, OCD, Polyamory/Open Relationships, Gender issues related to all genders, hoarding, and cluttering. I’ve been told by former clients that I had an ability to “reach” them while they were in the midst of the darkest moments of their lives. I hope that my down-to-earth, collaborative, and creative way of doing therapy can reach you too.
