Karen Kaiser, LPCC

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Karen! Hello, my name is Karen Kaiser, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have worked in behavioral health since 1986 and believe in a client-centered approach. I view my role as a therapist not as an expert dictating your path, but as a guide accompanying you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery. I believe that each individual holds the key to their own well-being; my job is to support you in unlocking your inherent potential and navigating challenges along the way. I earned my Master’s in Public Administration from George Mason University, enriching my understanding of systems and policies impacting mental health care. My approach I integrate two evidence-based therapeutic approaches: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). By combining EMDR and CBT, I offer a comprehensive therapeutic experience tailored to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. My focus I specialize in working with adults aged 18 and over navigating mood disorders, the impact of childhood trauma and abuse, challenges related to low self-esteem, and the psychological aspects of living with chronic illness. My practice provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space where individuals can explore their experiences, understand the roots of their struggles, and embark on healing. My communication style I adopt a tone of empowerment, focusing on amplifying each client’s inner strengths and capacities. I believe in empowering individuals to take charge of their healing by fostering encouragement, self-reflection, and support. My journey to mental healthcare My path to becoming a therapist was influenced by my own healing journey through therapy. Being a therapist provides me with a sense of purpose that I find deeply rewarding. My goal is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
