What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and identity exploration. I hold a special place for supporting BIPOC clients and transitional age youth (TAY) as they navigate emotional healing and self-discovery. Many of the people I also work with are women, especially new moms and caregivers coping with burnout, emotional overwhelm, and changes in identity. I also support men who are exploring emotional awareness, communication, and personal growth. Whoever you are, and wherever you’re starting from, I want to hold space where you feel truly seen. My communication style is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and offer reflections that help you explore things more deeply, always at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I believe in honest, open communication, and I aim to meet you where you are with empathy, curiosity, and respect. My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by both personal and professional experiences. I’m a proud Latina and a graduate of the University of San Francisco, where I deepened my passion for mental health and social justice. I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, including hospitals and community mental health agencies, which has given me a strong foundation in supporting individuals through complex and diverse challenges. I was drawn to this work because I believe in the strength of human resilience and the power of having a safe, supportive space to heal and grow. I’m especially passionate about serving teens, young adults, moms, and BIPOC clients by holding space for their unique stories and helping them navigate life’s transitions with more clarity, connection, and self-compassion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to support you in feeling more connected to yourself, confident in your choices, and grounded in your day-to-day life. At the same time, we’ll work on meaningful goals, like managing anxiety, improving relationships, or building coping tools. I also aim to go deeper than just surface-level outcomes. This is your journey, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. I believe in adjusting goals along the way, honoring your growth, your needs, and where you are in each moment. Ultimately, I want you to feel empowered, supported, and aligned with the life you’re creating. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. In our first session, my priority is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely seen. Whether you’re a teen navigating big emotions, a young adult in transition, or a mom feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, I’ll meet you with warmth and curiosity. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, explore any goals you may have (even if they’re still unclear), and begin building a foundation for the work we’ll do together. I also love getting to know you beyond the challenges, such as your interests, hobbies, pets, or whatever helps you feel more comfortable and at ease during our time together. Therapy is your space, and it’s important to me that it feels like your own. We’ll move at your pace, and I’ll support you in whatever ways feel most helpful along the way.
