Karmelle Ramillano, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Karmelle Ramillano, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Southern California, working with clients statewide via TeleHealth. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University Long Beach. I work with adults and specialize in mood, anxiety, and trauma disorders. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients care for their mental well-being and achieve their mental health goals. My approach I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Based on my client’s needs, I sometimes incorporate interventions from Gestalt Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. My focus I typically work with adults from 18 to those in their 60s who are hoping to process trauma. Other conditions I often treat include depression, anxiety, PTSD, low self-esteem, and stress. My communication style Therapy can be scary, so I strive to make the space warm and safe by listening without judgment and maintaining a calm presence. I believe in meeting clients where they are. I aim to create an environment where clients feel control over what and how much they share. My journey to mental healthcare As a first-generation Filipino-American and the oldest child of immigrant parents, I am passionate about destigmatizing mental health. I believe people are inherently resilient but sometimes need a space to tap into this resiliency. Providing this space drives me, and I am grateful to witness many clients’ healing journeys. My goals for you I strive to make goal setting collaborative. I ask clients what they want from therapy and work with them to formulate achievable goals. My first session with you In our first session, you can expect a space to get to know you and understand why you are seeking therapy now.
