Getting to know Katherine McCoy

I am out of network with insurances and not in-network. Please do not book if you are unable to attend your scheduled session. Hi! My name is Katie, and I offer an empathetic, compassionate, open-minded space to process past traumas and current issues. I primarily focus on individuals who have experienced childhood abuse or neglect from their caregivers and are trying to navigate those relationships today. I also work with individuals who experience daily anxiety and feel unsure where it is coming from. If you have had therapy before and felt it wasn't deep enough, and you want to explore yourself more, please reach out. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My focus is on your past trauma's/ life stressors and how they have affected you today. We will start on focusing on what you're coming to therapy for and see where in your past that began, I use EMDR therapy to help heal those past wounds. We can do therapy 1 time a week (or every other week), or I also offer EMDR intensives, which is 3 days in a row of 3 hours of therapy each. EMDR intensives is the fastest way to get started on your healing journey from past traumas. Please reach out about that service if you're interested.

I enjoyed my experience. The office space is nice and quaint. I was offered a cup of tea before coming in, and I thought that was a nice touch. I felt like it was an open and inviting environment. I definitely loved having her for my first session!
