Getting to know Kendrick Burden

If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re carrying something heavy, and you're looking for a place to set it down. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, past trauma, low motivation, performance pressure, or difficult life transitions, you don’t have to go through it alone. I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, clarity, and real-world tools to help you move forward. My role as a therapist is to help you gain a deeper understanding of your emotions, patterns, and potential so that you can feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life. I offer a collaborative and supportive space where you can be heard, respected, and challenged in a way that promotes growth. My approach I believe that therapy should be tailored to your specific goals, experiences, and strengths, rather than being a one-size-fits-all solution. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and identify the steps that'll help you thrive. You’ll find that I bring warmth, structure, and accountability to each session. Clients often tell me they appreciate how real and down-to-earth our conversations feel, while still being focused and purposeful. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including: -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help shift negative thinking patterns -Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and EMDR for trauma recovery -Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build emotional resilience -Solution-Focused Therapy and Strengths-Based approaches to keep sessions forward-moving and actionable We’ll work together to reduce distress, improve your relationships, and help you feel more in tune with your values and goals. My focus I work best with adults, teens, and professionals who are navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, or emotional overwhelm, and are ready to make meaningful change. Many of my clients look “fine” on the outside but are carrying invisible stress, self-doubt, or unresolved pain on the inside.
