CA
Hi there, I'm Kimberly! My name is Kim Richardson, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Rocklin, California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University. I am passionate about supporting my adult clients through various mental health symptoms and challenging life circumstances to find hope and experience growth and healing. I believe in working together with my clients to identify treatment priorities and create a personalized plan, utilizing theoretical approaches that work best to support feeling better and making progress toward their goals. My approach My approach is client-centered. I understand therapy as a collaborative process and believe in the power of genuine connection. I will meet you where you are and build a therapeutic relationship based on authenticity, empathy, non-judgment, and acceptance. This trust is the foundation of healing and growth, where you can feel heard and valued. I have an eclectic integrative approach that is attachment-based and trauma-informed, using treatment methods including psychodynamic, narrative therapy, psychoeducation, skills training, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My focus I work with adults across the lifespan—from young adults developing self-identity and exploring education or career directions, to established adults building or changing careers or starting families, to senior adults experiencing life transitions such as empty-nesting, becoming grandparents, and entering retirement. I specialize in depression, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, relationships (friendships, romantic/marriage, family), challenging life transitions, personal growth and self-esteem, social pressures, work/life stress, grief and loss, and explorations of faith and spirituality.
