Getting to know Kimberly Melcon

Welcome! My name is Kimberly Melcon, MA, LMFT, #88001. I have worked in the mental health field for over 21 years. I earned a Master's in Psychology from Phillips Graduate University and a Master's in Educational Psychology and Counseling from California State University, Northridge. I have a passion for treating individuals who struggle with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. I have over 8 years of experience treating eating disorders at various levels of care, including Residential Treatment Centers (RTC), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), outpatient services, and community support groups.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During a first session with me, you can expect a full assessment as I do need to get to know you. You will also have the opportunity to ask me questions that are important for you to be comfortable in our work together. Together we will establish goals. You are the expert of your life. You have made the decision to seek support and together we will collaborate on what you feel is important to focus on. In each session we will check in on goals and re-evaluate as needed.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
