Hi there, I'm Kimberly! Welcome! My name is Kimberly Meriwether, LCSW, based out of northern California. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Louisville. I believe that each client is the expert in their own life and is therefore the greatest source of knowledge and strength in the therapeutic relationship. I use a client-centered, solution-focused approach to therapy, with a strong emphasis on active listening. I have enjoyed working with people from diverse backgrounds and areas of need, including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. My approach I find it extremely important to take my time in listening to clients’ concerns and strengths. I enjoy working with clients in a holistic manner to find solutions that work for them and their lifestyle. I am trained in the use of mindfulness and ecotherapy practices, as well as solution-focused and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approaches. My focus Throughout my career, I have worked alongside clients concerned with anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ support, substance use/abuse, and harm reduction. I have worked with clients ranging from five years old well into adulthood, with a more recent emphasis on working with adolescents and young adults. I have enjoyed empowering clients on their path to wellness. My communication style I prioritize active listening and collaboration, ensuring clients feel heard and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. I am committed to creating a safe, respectful space where clients can explore their experiences and strengths as they work toward their goals.
