Hi there, I'm Lani! Hi! My name is Lani Riedler and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Using evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT, I help address many mental health issues by identifying and modifying maladaptive thought patterns. Through mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal skills training, clients experience increased peace and confidence in handling life's challenges. Through our work together, my clients challenge negative thoughts effectively, reduce anxiety and depression, adopt healthier coping strategies, and cultivate self-compassion. My approach My approach is eclectic, mainly combining cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and solution-focused interventions. After graduating with my master’s degree in counseling I gained experience working with clients of all ages struggling with eating disorders, body image issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and more. My focus I help women and men aged 18-50, particularly those who are perfectionists, people-pleasers, and high achievers, often facing high anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing tendencies, and challenges with disordered eating or poor body image. I treat anxiety, depression, eating disorders, insomnia, grief, and interpersonal problems. My communication style I am warm and approachable. I believe in bringing levity to the therapeutic space, while also taking the session seriously. I bring humor, lightness, and a strong feeling of empathy into the therapy session. My goals for you As a true CBT therapist, we start the first couple of sessions by truly understanding what our focus of therapy should be. We collaboratively set goals together. My first session with you The first session is really a time to both get to know each other and feel each other out. I can explain how therapy will look going forward and gather pertinent information about the client's life.
