Lauralee Fuhrmann, LCSW

Lauralee Fuhrmann, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Lauralee Fuhrmann, LCSW, holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree from Walden University. My approach is client-centered and strengths-based. I understand that it can be difficult to open up and talk about life stressors to a stranger. Sometimes, we feel unheard, alone, or simply need someone who can offer a helping, compassionate, and nonjudgmental ear. In therapy, we can mend fractured and fragmented pieces of ourselves that have been damaged by past relationships and trauma. Together, we can bring about positive change, challenge negative cognitions and dissonance, and begin the path of healing. My approach includes CBT, EMDR, compassion-focused, feminist, psychodynamic, and attachment-based therapies. I typically work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, poor self/body image, sexual abuse, and life transitions. My communication style is quiet, calm, engaging, respectful, and honoring, with a touch of light humor. As a survivor of sexual abuse, I can empathize deeply and facilitate compassion. I understand the struggles, and together we can heal those fragmented fractures. My goal is to collaborate with you throughout your healing journey. In our first session, we will create a light, comfortable environment to discuss your presenting concerns, history, and treatment goals.
