Getting to know Lauree Berger Turman
Hi, I have been in private practice for 25 years, seeing individual clients and couples (gay, lesbian, and straight). After completing my internships and passing the Board Exams, I studied with individual psychotherapists and psychologists whose work interested me. That's how I chose my specializations.
I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
In my experience, it's the deeper work that creates lasting change. And courage! Courage to be vulnerable, to trust again, and to give yourself time.
Understanding trauma and being proficient in EMDR and attachment-based therapy, I help you rewrite your narrative. Applying Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and individual work, I help individuals and couples get unstuck.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe clients must feel safe and liked by me. After our first session, I would hope that you might feel a sense of relief, that you've found a therapist you can trust.
More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
