Getting to know Lauren Bagwell
Hello and welcome! I'm glad you're here today. I'm Lauren Bagwell, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. I am passionate about helping clients achieve mental wellness, positive change, and fullness of life. I believe that reaching out for help takes courage, but that's where the healing begins, one conversation at a time. Whether you are experiencing new or ongoing challenges, my job is to provide a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space for you to talk, process, problem solve, and heal.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I most often utilize a "client-centered approach" but draw heavily from trauma-informed care utilizing EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Solution Focused, and Family Systems frameworks. My ultimate goal will be for you to leave each session feeling respected, capable, confident, and empowered to make changes on your own terms.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
