Hi there, I'm Lauren! My name is Lauren Greeley, LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) based in Los Angeles County. I work with clients statewide via Telehealth and am bilingual in Spanish. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma. My approach I use a client-centered and eclectic approach to best serve my clients. I primarily draw from mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to meet my clients' needs. My focus I work primarily with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, stress, and depression. I focus on building a strong relationship with my clients and symptom reduction in the beginning. I teach my clients skills they can use both in and outside of sessions. My communication style My communication style is calm, empathic, warm, non-directive, and personable. I want my clients to feel safe in therapy. My journey to mental healthcare I have been a licensed clinical social worker for about 10 years and have 20 years of experience in this profession. I have enjoyed helping others in various capacities—from at-risk youth to child abuse and neglect, and healthcare. For many years, I wanted to be a therapist because I have a passion for helping others emotionally. I have worked in non-profit, private for-profit, government, and volunteer settings for most of my adult life. My goals for you I work hand in hand with my clients to develop achievable goals. I start with conducting an initial and ongoing assessment. Together, we will set goals and track progress. My first session with you At our first session, you can expect a lot of background information gathering so I can better understand your needs and what brought you to therapy. We will discuss your symptoms and skills that may help manage those symptoms during and outside of the session.
