Psychotherapist
CO
Hi there, I'm Lenzy! It is easy to feel lost, anxious, and on the outside of life- especially when you are dealing with trauma, chronic health problems, or neurodiversity. Both my personal and professional experiences have helped me to understand how frequently these conditions are linked and can help you learn the skills to process your emotions while living in these turbulent times. By curating an individualized safe space and utilizing an eclectic approach, I will help you manage the anxiety that comes with living with these intersectional conditions. We will work together to help you learn to work with your specific needs. My approach I utilize an integrated approach to mental health, including CBT, narrative therapy, EMDR, IFS, and person-centered approaches that are tailored to your needs. I teach skills to help you function better in all areas of your life, including executive function and pain management. We may even get creative and utilize some expressive art techniques. My focus I enjoy working with clients who may be neurodivergent, have chronic health concerns, and/or a history of trauma. These often overlap in unique ways that trigger depression, anxiety, and a host of other symptoms. My communication style I provide clear and empathetic communication with my clients. I am always open to feedback if a way I approach something doesn't feel right to you. I aim to meet your communication style with mine, as I know that neurodiversity communication can look any number of ways. As is appropriate, I enjoy adding some humor to my sessions as it is such an important coping tool for many. My first session with you Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. Therapy is a process, and we’ll continue to build our work together over time. It’s completely normal to feel nervous about your first appointment.
