Lily Moon, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CO
Welcome! I’m a licensed therapist at Black Heart Therapy. I work with folks who want to break out of old patterns, figure out what truly works for them, and face life’s challenges head-on — all with empathy, a little humor, and practical guidance. My approach I use an eclectic approach, drawing on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and other relevant modalities to fit your unique needs and goals. Our work is guided by your motivations and values, focusing on empowerment, self-understanding, and practical strategies for real change. My focus Do you struggle with endless mental chatter or feel like the walls are closing in? I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, and those who may see or hear things others don’t. Together, we’ll help your empowered self start calling the shots. My communication style My communication style is transparent, open, and grounded in active, reflective listening. I’m direct and straightforward when it’s helpful, but always with kindness, empathy, and compassion at the core. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and safe to explore whatever comes up. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to the parts of life that are complicated and hard to talk about. Before private practice, I worked in community mental health and housing programs serving folks who were often overlooked or written off. That experience shaped how I practice today—grounded, authentic, and focused on real change. My goals for you We’ll focus on what matters to you—breaking cycles, managing anxiety, or getting a handle on life. Therapy isn’t about labeling things as “good” or “bad,” it’s about noticing what works and what doesn’t. Goals will shift as you do, and I’ll help you figure out practical strategies that actually help you move forward.
