“Lisa has been such a God-send. I came to her after seeing several other therapists over the years that felt awkward or in some way overly clinical in their approach, but Lisa has this compassionate and very authentic way about her that immediately puts you at ease. Getting to know Lisa Riddle

Hi there, I'm Lisa! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in San Diego, California, with a Master’s in Social Work from Trinity College Dublin, and have been in the mental health field for 25 years. Life can be filled with struggles, emotional pain, and unexpected challenges. On an average day, it can be difficult to navigate, and on overwhelming days, we can feel hopeless, helpless, and stuck. Please believe me when I say there is hope! Old wounds can be healed, unhealthy patterns changed, and life can be fulfilling. I have been privileged to walk alongside many individuals on their healing path. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, narcissistic abuse, and trauma recovery, particularly related to women, young adults, and adolescents. I hope we can work together to help you experience a more meaningful life, where you feel lighter and happier. My approach My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and a deep commitment to helping clients. I believe in creating a safe, supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I use a trauma-informed, person-centered approach tailored to each individual's unique needs and strengths. I strongly believe in developing a deeper connection between body and mind and frequently use mindfulness and somatic therapies. I am a Christian, and for clients who desire, I bring faith into my approach. My communication style I find being authentic, down to earth, and relaxed with clients is best. I embrace a straightforward, direct style focused on empathy and humor (when appropriate). I know when to listen and offer stillness, and when to speak up, offer guidance, and suggest tools and interventions. My hope is that clients feel supported and listened to, and that my presence is like a confidential cheerleader in their corner.
