Hi there, I'm Lynn!
My name is Lynn Hawley, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. I am passionate about building relationships founded on trust, compassion, respect, and unconditional positive regard. I have a heart for helping people heal from all kinds of struggles using holistic tools including mind, body, and spirit practices, and I have a personal passion for faith-based integrated therapy and trauma-informed care.
My approach
My approach combines mindfulness and acceptance-based skills, as well as emotion and solution-focused strategies to increase insight and create change. I believe in addressing how trauma can get stored in the body’s nervous system leading to struggles such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and PTSD. The most common approaches I use include DBT, ACT, CBT, trauma-informed care, and EMDR.
My focus
I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, diagnoses, and struggles. I have a heart for working with clients who have experienced trauma—whether small or big—that impacts their current functioning through symptoms such as anxiety, panic, depression, mood swings, relationship challenges, and difficulty finding meaning or purpose.
My communication style
I use a combined approach incorporating a safe, open, and calm atmosphere, and also gentle challenging, psychoeducation, and solution-focused direction to help clients move forward. I enter each session with curiosity and compassion, and when challenges arise, I stay calm and emotionally present, making it safe for clients to navigate their unique healing journey.
My goals for you
In the first and second sessions, I assess your current challenges through explorative questions and your self-disclosure. Near the end, we will set goals for what you want from therapy, and as needed, I will help identify goals that are attainable and relate to your needs.

I was actually brought to Lynn by a chance referral from my former insurance provider. I have been on and off in therapy since I was a child, but it wasn't until my sessions with Lynn that I really feel that I am making progress and understanding how my past has led me to think, act and be the way I am today. She doesn't focus on any one therapy technique, which allows me to utilize methods that resonate with me. I incorporate all the resources and tools into how I approach life every day.
