CO
Hi! I'm Madison Braid, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. I specialize in treating a range of clinical presentations, including anxiety, depression, mood instability, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders, stress, social issues, and family conflict. I enjoy working with people across the lifespan and have significant experience treating children, teenagers, and young adults. My approach My goal is to meet you exactly where you're at. I take a humanistic approach to my work and believe that healing happens in a safe and secure relationship. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also incorporate frameworks and techniques from other modalities, including narrative therapy, SMART Recovery, and attachment theory. My focus My clinical experience has allowed me to work with many different people and join them on many different journeys. I find joy in helping clients overcome mood instability and emotional dysregulation, as well as addressing relationship conflict and social issues that can accompany these challenges. My communication style I strive to create a welcoming, safe, and secure space where clients feel comfortable discussing some of life's harder questions and issues. I want each session to feel collaborative and productive, so clients leave with something tangible and concrete to start creating the life they want to live that day. My goals for you I work with each client to help them achieve their goals and focus on their priorities. When priorities aren't clear, I have many tools to explore and clarify them. I find clients have the most success in therapy when goals are clear, set from the beginning, and evaluated throughout treatment. My first session with you I use our first session to get to know one another and set expectations for therapy. You can expect that I will ask more questions during this initial meeting.
