Hi there, I'm Maribel! Maribel Flores Hartford is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. She has worked with a variety of people, from as young as newborns all the way to geriatric clients, in customer service, educational, medical, social services, and substance use outpatient settings for a total of 19 years. My approach Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Integrative, Eclectic, Person-Centered, or any other requested. My focus Adults, teens, groups, and families. I treat anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes/events, and more. My communication style I use structure but also allow my clients to take control of the session by letting them feel heard 100% and periodically checking in and out. I like to provide honesty, structure, and challenge my clients when needed and permitted. My Journey to Therapy I wanted to become a therapist because I noticed the lack of good therapists in minority groups and because of my own individual experiences. My Goals for You In your first meeting/session with me, we will have the opportunity to get to know each other better and be open to any questions, as well as letting me know how I can better serve you. I will also provide intake forms, an assessment, and a treatment plan to target the diagnosis and issues and develop collaborative goals.
