Hello, it is nice to meet you. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 22 years of experience working within agencies and as a first responder and military personnel. I earned my Master's in Counseling from Capella University. Being a veteran and first responder, I have personally witnessed what our brave men and women endure each day and the emotional trauma that can occur within these challenging careers. I have worked with a wide range of clients, from adolescents to adults, experiencing anxiety, stress, PTSD, parenting problems, career problems, addictions, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, and coping with life changes. I utilize several clinical approaches such as person-centered therapy, psychoeducation, existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Christian counseling, while focusing on empowering and helping each individual regain control within their lives and unique situations. I am a warm, empathetic professional who believes that each person should be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and recognize how strong you are to reach out for assistance.
