Getting to know Marsha Goldman

Hello and welcome! I'm Marsha, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Smith College. Congratulations on having the courage to reach out for your own well-being. Taking that first step is the beginning of a healing and expansive journey. I provide a safe space in which to explore your reasons for seeking therapy and to help bring out the strengths and resources that already exist inside of you, as well as offer tools for growth to further your own life satisfaction. My approach I bring a compassionate and non-judgmental presence, attention to the whole person-body, mind, and spirit-use of the arts for healing, and my own experience across the life stages. Sometimes we need a place to go that can hold us while we sift through the feelings and experiences that have led us to the present moment. Together, we will collaborate on the best path to take for your own individual healing. My focus I have a special interest in supporting clients who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, and women's issues. My communication style I provide compassionate listening, gentle inquiry, and specific guidance as I come to understand you, your goals, and what most needs to be addressed. My journey to therapy I became a therapist to help people experiencing challenges in life who are seeking to be their best selves. I have also experienced much loss and feel I can companion those who are going through grief. I believe that we all have inner wisdom and the knowledge to create a life of greater ease and well-being. My goals for you After sifting through the feelings and experiences that have led you to the present moment, we identify goals and the best methods to use to progress and feel confident that you can move forward with more ease. My first session with you In our first session, we will get to know each other, explore what led you to seek therapy, and discuss what you hope to get out of our time together.
