My name is Mary Danielle Alvarez, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Massachusetts Global. I focus on identifying and processing barriers to becoming your most authentic self. I am passionate about utilizing a cognitive and solution-focused approach to join with clients as they navigate new territories, identify and implement strategies to increase self-fulfillment, and build self-awareness and insight to enhance relationships with their loved ones. My approach I use an eclectic approach, comprised of client-centered/humanistic, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques. I often interweave a psychodynamic modality to help clients understand how childhood experiences affect their worldview, feelings, and behaviors. My focus I am most comfortable treating clients with depression, anxiety, and impulsive or reckless behaviors that lead to challenges at work, school, or in relationships with others.
