I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My approach I want to get to know you and come to a mutual understanding of your goals for therapy. From there, I use approaches that fit best, often combining Client-Centered, Strength-Based, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. There is no one approach, just like there is no one answer to how to make progress and start feeling better. Our work will focus on what is important to you, using your unique strengths and perspective to develop skills and coping mechanisms for life’s challenges and transitions. My focus I work with adults experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression as they adjust to new life situations. This may include starting or ending school or a job, entering or improving relationships, facing new phases of life or unexpected changes, or simply seeking more satisfaction and fulfillment daily. My communication style My style is informal, warm, and direct. I create a safe, accepting space so clients feel comfortable discussing anything. I listen with empathy and without judgment. My journey to therapy I have always been fascinated by people and curious about how we grow, develop, and change. What makes each of us unique? Why do we connect with some and not others? There are many ways to be creative, successful, or fulfilled. I find satisfaction in helping others gain insight into themselves and use that to engage fully and successfully with the world.
