Megan Haynes, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
I am a licensed professional counselor in Colorado (LPC.0014812) and an approved clinical supervisor for counselors entering the field. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University. I approach therapy from a person-centered and individual viewpoint, meeting each client where they are presently. There is no one right approach to therapy—it’s like a dance between two people, figuring out the steps as we go to meet your unique needs. My approach I work from a person-centered framework, incorporating solution-focused and motivational interviewing techniques. Again, there is no single “right” way, but I ensure we pivot as needed to best support you. My focus I work with a diverse group of clients across the full lifespan, from young children to our cherished older adult population. I support many different diagnoses and presenting issues. My communication style I come to each session with a smile and a sense of calm, grounding us at the start and then tuning into your needs for that particular session, recognizing that things can shift between visits. I am a positive person, always searching for the good in every situation, identifying unique strengths in my clients, and offering unconditional positive regard to everyone I work with. My journey to mental healthcare I have been a therapist, so I have been told, since elementary school. I have always been a source of support and solution-focused guidance for friends and family. When I was 8, I had a filing cabinet full of files for each of my stuffed animals—I knew early on that I was called to this field. My goals for you Goal setting is an important step in therapy. It acts as a roadmap for us to track progress or course correct if needed. I approach goals collaboratively, creating them uniquely for each client.
