I'm here to help you in a safe, supportive, and approachable way. Most folks have a history of trauma without even realizing it. If you have beliefs like "there is something wrong with me" or "I'm not good enough," I can help. I support recovering from self-esteem, safety, relationship, and vulnerability trauma. My approach We can work to identify core beliefs that developed during trauma that negatively impact your life. If you struggle to trust others or yourself, if you have fears that people are mad or upset with you, if you're afraid people will leave, I can help you understand the origin of those thoughts and offer tools for challenging and replacing them. My focus I work with female and femme-identifying clients, including transgender, intersex, and queer folks. I help with trauma recovery, self-esteem struggles, relationship fears, trust issues, and beliefs that hold you back. My communication style I'm a firm believer in unconditional positive regard. I'm not here to judge you for sharing your thoughts and feelings; I'm here to offer normalization and support. You can expect me to gently offer feedback with your permission, in a trauma-informed manner. My journey to mental healthcare I am the person who can see if someone in a group is struggling. I recognize when someone is getting talked over, is being ignored, or is feeling unseen. I love being able to help other sensitive people who often feel that they are not truly being seen or heard. My goals for you We set and track goals together. If you believe "there is something wrong with me" 100%, we work to decrease the intensity of that belief and increase the intensity of alternative, healthier beliefs. My first session with you Vibe check! Very low pressure, safe, and approachable. We can chat about what brings you to the session and what you'd like to have happen. If you've tried therapy before, we can discuss what worked well for you and what you weren't a huge fan of.
