I have been a Licensed Therapist since 2017 and have been providing EMDR services since 2019. In addition to trauma-informed care (EMDR), my theoretical approaches include person-centered, existential therapy, solution-focused, CBT, and inner-child work. My approach is tailored to the client and their unique goals for therapy. My work focuses on healing for our adult self and our inner child. In order to heal, we must feel safe. My focus is to create safety by providing a warm and nurturing environment. Together, we will walk through the process of healing and growth. Allowing you to build emotional resilience and create the life you desire.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My communication style is clear, direct, and open. With an emphasis on understanding and clarification when needed. I found my way to becoming a therapist through working in prison reform and education. The common thread was unaddressed mental health concerns. I knew then that I wanted to work in a field that would help heal the pain in our hearts.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My objective is to help clients identify the goals they have for themselves, inside and outside of therapy. In order to achieve this, we will work together to identify goals, resolve any obstacles to achieving those goals, and work to build the skills necessary to achieve your goals. Our first session will include a review of policies, procedures, limits to confidentiality, and guidelines for our therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your expectations for our time together in therapy. We will then focus on gathering your history, appropriate background, your personal goals for therapy, and begin creating our therapeutic goals for therapy.
