I hope that, together, we can identify and move beyond the patterns or experiences that may keep you feeling stuck, and work intentionally toward the goals and life changes that matter most to you. Through collaboration, reflection, and practical skill-building, I aim to support you in creating meaningful progress and lasting growth. My approach I practice through the lenses of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and existential theory. I believe clients have the capacity to develop their own solutions and that, through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, meaningful movement toward a desired quality of life is possible. My focus I most often work with individuals who have experienced trauma, and through partnership, my goal is to help clients move from surviving to thriving. As an Army veteran, I also frequently provide care to other veterans. My communication style My therapeutic style is straightforward, and I invite open communication about clients’ experiences in therapy throughout the process My journey to mental healthcare I am a prior service turned mental health professional. I served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic from 2009 to 2012, with one deployment to Iraq. I hold two master’s degrees, in addition to a bachelor’s and an associate's degree. I bring specialized knowledge and clinical focus in trauma, sexual concerns, and disordered eating. My goals for you I hope that by working together, we can organize and achieve your goals, whatever they may be. If you're unsure of what direction you want to head, we can work on that together, too. My first session with you A first session would be a chance to get to know you. I would ask a lot of questions while giving you space to share as much as you feel comfortable sharing. With this information, we can develop a targeted treatment plan and proceed in a systematic and organized manner.
