Michelle Perry, LPC

Psychotherapist
CO
Hi there, I'm Michelle! My name is Michelle Perry, and I am an LPC licensed in Colorado, Nebraska, and Iowa. I hold a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I specialize in trauma, life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety, and co-dependency. My approach My approach to therapy is collaborative, using several different methods depending on the client’s needs. These include CBT, DBT, EMDR, Person-Centered therapy, and others. My focus I often work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues. Many have faced stressful or traumatic experiences, are grieving recent or multiple losses, or are navigating life transitions. My communication style I have a laid-back communication style and enjoy using humor when appropriate. I value connecting with clients on a human-to-human level. Many clients tell me I’ve made them feel seen and heard, sometimes for the first time. My journey to mental healthcare I love being a therapist. I began my career as a medical social worker, working in nursing homes for several years. I then spent over eight years in hospice as a social worker and bereavement therapist. I am passionate about connecting with others and working together to create positive change. My goals for you We discuss goals in the first session and revisit them throughout therapy. I believe goal setting should be a collaborative experience between therapist and client. My first session with you During our first session, we will talk about your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals. I will explain my approach and ask assessment questions to understand how best to support you. Together, we will create a plan to move forward in the therapy relationship.
