My purpose is to assist clients in reaching their full potential by finding connection, joy, and self-fulfillment through developed coping skills. My approach The most important aspect of my approach is that it is client-centered and culturally sensitive. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Family Systems, and other approaches. My focus I work with clients dealing with Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD. My communication style The client is the driver in the therapeutic collaborative process and is invited to process and learn new skills, lifestyle habits, and views of self. My journey to mental healthcare I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field in various settings and roles, from Quality Assurance Manager to Therapist, working at DMH agencies as well as in private practice, and with various age groups and individuals from many backgrounds. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. My goals for you Therapy goals are developed collaboratively with the client. We begin discussing these goals during the intake session and continue refining them over the next one or two sessions before finalizing. My first session with you The first session is usually an intake session where we discuss consent, policies, and fees, as well as the history of the presenting problem, current issues, coping skills, and treatment goals.
