Psychotherapist
CA
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist passionate about helping individuals, couples, children, and families feel more connected, understood, and supported through life’s challenges. My focus I work with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, emotional disconnection, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, and family or parenting challenges. In couples work, I help partners better understand the patterns and cycles they can get stuck in, improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection. My approach My approach to therapy is rooted in attachment-based work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, and trauma-informed care. I am also EMDR-trained and have extensive experience helping clients process trauma, navigate emotional overwhelm, and work through difficult life experiences. My communication style While I deeply value the seriousness of the therapeutic process, I also believe therapy does not always have to feel heavy or overly clinical. I naturally bring warmth, humor, authenticity, and lightheartedness into sessions when appropriate. My journey to mental healthcare I was inspired to work in mental health after growing up in a rural community where access to emotional support and mental health resources was limited. Those experiences shaped my passion for creating a safe, supportive, and authentic space where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable seeking help without judgment. My goals for you I believe therapy works best when goals are collaborative, personalized, and meaningful to each client. Together, we identify areas of growth, explore patterns and challenges, and work toward healthier ways of coping, communicating, and connecting. Our first session Our first session is typically focused on exploring what brings you to therapy, discussing your current concerns, and learning more about your personal history, relationships, and goals for treatment.
