Nivien Ibrahim, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NC
I have a Master's Degree in Social Work from East Carolina University, North Carolina. I hold a Clinical License of Social Work in North Carolina with over 20 years of experience in the clinical field, hospitals, government settings, and private practices. My approach is to collaborate with clients who are motivated to apply skills and techniques through therapy to achieve their vision and goals toward an improved direction in life. My approach towards therapy focuses on providing support while we navigate areas that combine thought with actions, and more importantly, actions with clearer and more concise thoughts. I appreciate all therapeutic approaches that recognize the human side of the therapeutic collaboration with clients. I work with individuals across a variety of life stages and struggles, from personal growth to mental health challenges. I work with clients of all ages who are motivated to apply what they recognize and learn during therapy and through their self-propelled journey in life. My communication style and tone reflect the needs and conditions of the moment. My hope is that clients recognize that the messages delivered are entirely meant to guide them toward the best possible direction and that their best interest is always at heart. Becoming a therapist was not something I initially planned as a career path. I recognized the connection between all the people who provided support throughout my personal and professional life—both formal and informal—and how these life experiences motivated me to become a therapist. I understood the importance and value of paying forward the support once offered to me. These connections of life experiences and my career path made it clear that providing support in a therapeutic realm was the direction I wanted to follow.
