I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Northridge. I work with children, teens, and adults and specialize in Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief, and difficulty adjusting to life changes. I utilize Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT, Mindfulness-based interventions, and Relaxation skills to meet the varied needs of my clients. My approach My approach focuses on improving well-being by bringing awareness to mind, body, and spiritual needs and learning to find balance among them. I primarily use Person-Centered Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to guide my treatment, as they help me build an understanding of your perspective by allowing me to listen empathetically and use your expertise to guide our session. Processing your understanding of your lived experiences is a great platform for healing. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques including behavioral activation, cognitive restructuring, and exposure experiments to help improve well-being. Understanding the impact of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors on our well-being is key to feeling better, and taking ownership of them is powerful. CBT is also great for exploring, processing, and unpacking unresolved issues including past childhood trauma that may be currently impacting you in a safe space at your pace. I also teach mindfulness-based interventions, deep breathing, and relaxation strategies. My goal is to increase awareness of your body to help you respond appropriately to meet its needs.
