Psychotherapist
CA
Hello, I am here to support your growth in relationships as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I utilize Cognitive Therapy for clients who need to recover from depression and anxiety. Client-Centered Therapy is my general approach to providing therapy. I've been licensed since 2005. I earned my Master's in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. I would be honored to support you on your journey. My approach I approach therapy using Client-Centered, Cognitive, and Psychodynamic Therapy. If the situation calls for Solution Focused Therapy, that's an option, too. I use an eclectic approach to help my clients progress with their therapy goals. My focus I work with motivated clients to improve their functioning and relationships. My communication style I do more listening than talking, but I provide clinical interventions when needed. Therapy is for you to hear yourself talking out loud to figure out how you want to move forward in your life. If there's a safety issue, I will become directive; otherwise, I'm here to support you. My journey to therapy I've benefited from therapy myself, so I know it works. However much effort you put into therapy is what you will get out of it. I respect wherever my clients are in their process of growth and change for the better. My goals for you Successful care and progress look like improved communication and relationships with others. Clients don't require therapy forever because they develop skills to manage their own lives. My first session with you There's an intake during the first session in which I get to know you, and we identify what goals you'd like to work on.
